Romantic Micro Wedding at Lamb Cottage
This tiny, intentional wedding at a public park in Eugene was absolutely gorgeous. From their “first look” in the Owen Rose Garden to their vows beside the riverfront pedestrian path, Caden & Ruby were surrounded by lush flowers and the natural beauty of Oregon.
Some weddings need to be small. For this couple, they knew exactly who should be present to make their day feel authentic and intentional. Every person on their guest list was a “VIP,” especially their mamas.
Renting a public park space for weddings is an affordable option, but it comes with different rules depending on the location. Getting married at Lamb Cottage meant Caden & Ruby couldn’t invite more than 30 people, and that their event needed to be held in the middle of the day: we had completely cleaned up and locked the door by 5 pm. The couple also decided to serve only non-alcoholic drinks, though for some park spaces alcohol can be served with a special permit.
We decorated the small interior of the cottage with flowers and string lights, for an intimate meal after the ceremony. I think the highlight of the reception were the heartfelt toasts and speeches, as well as the delicious cake from Sweet Life Patisserie, which was decorated with a handmade cake topper depicting the couple as characters from Animal Crossing.
I loved being part of this intentional, heartfelt, luxurious wedding day. Caden & Ruby, thank you for trusting me with your vision and for inviting me to be on your vendor team!
